Anti-woman or anti-military or pro-peace? Seth on women in combat.

The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events, Session 854, p. 230

Seth: Women make a grave error, when they try to prove their "equality" with men, by showing that they can enter the armed forces or go into combat, as well as any man. War always makes you less as a species than you could be. Women have shown uncommon good sense in not going to war and uncommon bad sense, by sending their sons and lovers to war. To kill for the sake of peace, only makes you better killers and nothing will change that. I am quite aware that going to war seems to be your only practical course, because of the set of beliefs that are, relatively speaking, worldwide. Until you change those beliefs, war will seem to have some practical value....a value that is highly deceptive and quite false.

Seth: Negative focus robs you of energy you need to help

Seth, The Nature of the Psyche, Session 800

Seth: You form your own reality. That reality contributes to the experience of others, but each of you possesses a unique, original stance in space and time that is yours alone in quite practical terms, regardless of time's relative existence.

Only when you operate from your own stance can you help others to the best of your ability. To anticipate danger, or to imaginatively take on the troubles of others robs you of the very energy with which you could help them.

I am not saying, therefore, to turn your eyes from the unfortunate conditions of the world. Practical help is needed in all areas of the human life.

Yet it is far better, and more practical ultimately, to concentrate upon the beneficial elements of civilization-far better to organize your thoughts in areas of accomplishment than to make mental lists of mans deficiencies and lacks. Such a practice leads to feelings of helplessness and hopelessness, in which effective action seems impossible.

Life possesses an exuberance.

If this is cherished, nurtured, encouraged, then additional energy is generated that is not needed for the purposes of daily private life-a superabundance, that can be effectively directed in those areas of the world where help is most needed. The strength, vitality, and effectiveness of thought is seldom considered, Thought, you may say, will not stop a war-yet what do you think started such a war?

Throughout history the downtrodden have often risen into power, using force, rebelling against their oppressors; and yet, learning little from that experience, they turn and become the elite, the new power-holders. Their physical conditions may be completely changed. Now theirs, the offices of government, the wealth. Gone are the conditions that, it would seem, caused the uprising. Yet in retaliation they strike out, forming a new class of downtrodden who must in their turn rise and retaliate.
Despite all appearances, conditions of an exterior nature do not cause wars, or poverty, or disease, or any of the unfortunate circumstances apparent in the world. Your beliefs form your reality. Your thoughts generate practical experience. When these change, conditions will change.

To add your own energy, focus, and concentration to dire circumstances in other portions of the world does not help, but adds to, such situations.

Make Peace With Your Worst Case Scenario

Abraham, North Los Angeles, CA  03/06/2004

Abraham: It's an emotional journey first, more than it is a fixing something in physical form journey. In other words, you've got to find a way of not letting what you fear be so bad. You've got to make peace with your worst case scenario. And when you make peace with your worst case scenario, then you will discover that you can feel better, and then things will start coming back into alignment with you.

Jerry talked, often, about people that he knew, that were having financial disaster. And he would see them struggle against it, as things just got worse and worse and worse. And then the physical evidence, or manifestation, of their collapse began showing, as they would lose the car and the boat and the stuff and the house. And then he would notice that once it was gone, then things would start turning around.  But it bothered him that it all seem to have to be lost before it would start turning around.

And we explained that it was because as long as they were fighting against the things they feared so much, they kept it alive and active in their vibration. And it wasn't until it happened and there was nothing more to fear that they experienced a shift. Now you don't have to do that. In other words, you can turn it around at any point, but you get the sense of it.

Abraham: Resist Not Bullies

Abraham -Boise, ID 7/3/02

What you’re saying is, ‘when someone gathers forces, who seems to be a bully, and wants to push against another, shouldn’t someone rise up big enough to push back?’ And we say, all you end up with is bigger and bigger pushing against, and more and more using each other as your excuse not to allow your well being.

Guest: “So you would say that, like, America and Britain would’ve just become invisible to Hitler if they had assumed this philosophy?”

Abraham: “You would not provide the fodder to the fire that keeps him fueled. If there were no one pushing back at him, the majority of the energy that he had amassed would have been non-existent. If you weren’t pretty good at understanding well being, as [the bully’s] poking at you with a stick, you’re probably going to get provoked, which is exactly what he wants—so, as he provokes you, and you now turn your attention, now you’re engaged—which is what he had in mind the whole time.

Someone who wants power doesn’t want passivity, doesn’t want somebody not interested; They want somebody to push back against them! In other words, you can’t have a war unless there’s somebody that’s fighting against you, but it does not mean that you have to play the game.

So here you stand—and you say, ‘I’m going to choose what’s dominant in my vibration.’ So he pokes at you, and you notice that the world’s beautiful over there—and he pokes at you, and you notice that there’s well-being over there, and he pokes at you, and you notice that he’s a non-issue. You notice that your life goes pretty well except when you’re being poked a little; and less and less do you notice his poking, and more and more do you notice well-being, until you literally become so vibrationally different from him that the poking is no longer any fun for him—because you vibrated out of range, and others vibrated into range. His enemies bring themselves right to him.

What goes wrong with humans, is they say, ‘I want world peace’—and we say world peace is none of your business! Personal peace is. There is no possible way of getting everyone to agree.

So then you say, ‘Yes, but what if I ignore him and so I disengage him from my vibration. What about the others that he’s trampling? What about those that don’t know as much as I do?’, and we say now you’re back involved. In other words, you get to choose. So, finally, when you say, I don’t have to figure it out for any of them, and I’m going to align with the energy of well-being’, and follow that path, then it’s easier for you to watch everyone else play out their game.
