The Visualization Process Is Your Purpose in Life

Abraham-Hicks Quarterly Journal Jul/Aug/Sep 1996

Abraham: What your purpose in life is, is the visualization process. To look around and see it like it is and then imagine it better. Look around and see it like it is and then imagine it better. The visualization process is your purpose of life. The Universe will match it with the physical equivalent.

The tricky thing is to not keep getting swept up in the physical equivalent so much that you lose sight of your ability to visualize. Can you hear it? The temptation is to then start observing. The temptation is to just start observing, to let what's happening around you to dominate your every thought. Your work is to keep pulling yourself back.

You go to the gym to work your muscles. We want you to go the Creation Box to work your mind. We want you to work at visualization. It's not going to come easy in the beginning. It's going to be hard. Other things are going to call you off. You're going to find your mind wandering all over the place. You are going to have to work at maintaining a focus. To maintain a focus and feel good can take a strong deliberate intent because it's easier to follow those knee-jerk reactions. Those old habits are very well entrenched.

Your purpose in the physical experience is to use the data that abounds to collect the bits and pieces of it to create a scenario that rocks your world--and when you do that, the Universe will respond with a vibrational equivalent. But we want so much for you to hear that the vibrational equivalent--the physical manifestation--is not what it's about. It's the power of the vision.

Hard Labor v Visualization

Abraham-Hicks,  Boston, MA -10/09/99

Act a little less and think a little more. We're not saying stop acting and do it all in mind. We're saying work your 8 hours or your 10 hours or your 16 hours, just spend at least 10 or 15 minutes -- in a day where you are working 8-10-16 hours of physical action in order to maintain the physical stuff that you've gathered around you -- trying to find pleasure from some vision. Afford yourself that. And that 10 or 15 minutes that you are finding pleasure will cause a focalization of Energy within you that the Universe will actualize around. You will begin to notice that you are more productive, because of 15 minutes of  visualization, than you were from 16 hours of hard labor.

Visualization as Entertainment

Abraham-Hicks, St. Louis, MO, 7/18/00

You go to a movie to be entertained and uplifted, to be distracted, inspired. You go because you think it will be fun, and that's the reason why we want you to visualize. We want you to visualize for the fun of visualizing, to make visualization satisfying to you as much as going to the movies.

Practice your visualization for the pleasure of the vision rather than because its an exercise that'll get you from one place to another. Because when you say, "Here is where I'm standing -- I would like to be over there, and I'm going to do an exercise to get from here to there," what happens when you do that is you are including both vibrations in your mix, but when you say, "I'm gonna visualize this, because it's fun to visualize this, because its uplifting to think about," now you leave that part of the vibration out of the vibration. That's really, really big!

The Universe has the ability to yield to you in ways most of you are not ready to accept or understand. So that's what visualization is all about: it's bringing yourself to a joyful vantage point. It's like painting the most pleasurable picture so that you become a vibrational match to something that you're wanting -- dreaming it into place.

And when you meet those in your environment that have mastered anything -- whether they are a scientist, actor, teacher, singer or parent -- those who are successful and are thrilled and joyful will tell you, "I've dreamed this since i was little -- I imagined it, I pretended
it...," because in that fresh, pure, pure, pure -- you'll keep hearing that word from us -- purity of your vibration comes the alignment of energy. Purity is the alignment of energy.

It doesn't matter what anyone thinks about anything. It only matters what you think about it. Dream your dream for the dream's sake, and never mind about reality or probabilities. That's what's tripping you up, because in the dream you can make it pure, and when you make it pure in your dreams the universe will answer it.

So it boils down to you're dreaming it for the THRILL of dreaming it, not because you're trying to create with it, NOT BECAUSE YOU'RE TRYING TO CREATE WITH IT! That is the fly in the ointment. That is what's keeping most of you from letting your vibration really be pure.

You are all so practical-minded. You say, "Shouldn't I be doing something? Shouldn't I be suffering a little more? I'm taking pleasure from the visualization, but what good is that doing?"You have been taught all of your life to get your head out of the clouds, get your feet on the ground and face reality -- and we say NEVER DO THAT unless reality is really, really, really pleasing to you. Otherwise, take the best parts from the buffet table called Reality -- your life -- and fill in the gaps with your vision.

Abe: The Power of the Vision

Abraham-Hicks from the Quarterly Journal Jul/Aug/Sep 1996

What your purpose in life is, is the visualization process, to look around and see it like it is and then imagine it better.

The temptation is to just start observing, to let what’s happening around you to dominate your every thought. Your work is to keep pulling yourself back. You go to the gym to work your muscles. We want you to go the {Creation} Box to work your mind.

We want you to work at visualization. It’s not going to come easy in the beginning. It’s going to be hard. Other things are going to call you off. You’re going to find your mind wandering all over the place. You are going to have to work at maintaining a focus. To maintain a focus and feel good can take a strong deliberate intent because it’s easier to follow those knee-jerk reactions. Those old habits are very well entrenched.
